Pennsylvania Department of Labor & Industry has implemented a Direct Care Worker Training fund.
If you are in PA and looking to start a healthcare training school, now is an opportune time! There is a new grant opportunity which is open to local workforce development boards, nonprofit and non-governmental entities, community-based organizations, education and post-secondary organizations, health care organizations, labor organizations, business associations, trade associations of long-term services and supports providers and economic development entities.
Awards of up to $2,000,000 are available, and a total of $4,000,000 is to be awarded statewide. Funding can be requested to create and develop training programs that increase the quality of services, offer specialty certifications and create viable career opportunities for personal care assistants, home health aides and certified nursing assistants.
