Have you been wanting to take your California Nurse Aide Training Program online, but are not sure how? Join our engaging, 4-part, virtual seminar where we walk you through creating your very own Learning Management System (LMS) for your nurse aide training program with the free-for-teachers Canvas platform, a robust LMS that is used by school systems and higher learning institutions nationwide. This seminar will be offered live over zoom so that you can get personalized help as you create your LMS. Our seminar will help you reduce your LMS buildout time by 30+ hours by providing you with importable content and a walkthrough of how to implement it.

This seminar is divided into Four 1-hour live video conference sessions held on Wednesday evenings from 5:30pm to 6:30pm PST during the month of February 2025. The sessions include the following:

• Introduction and overview of how to create and use a free-for-Teacher account with Canvas
• A course import that contains content for all 17 required modules in California that aligns with the August Learning Solutions textbook (see prerequisites)
• Course content that includes state curriculum modules, text-based power point presentations, skills videos, case studies, and preloaded testing materials
• Live walkthrough of how to organize the provided content based on your specific course schedule
• Live walkthrough of how to use the preloaded testing materials to create quizzes specific to your course schedule
• Real time assistance and Q and A from someone who has experience preparing approved LMS platforms for nurse aide training programs in California

Prerequisites:

1. You MUST attend on a laptop (not a mobile device) to gain the most benefit from the subject matter.
2. Attendees must use or plan to use CNA: Nursing Assistant Certification, California Edition. 2nd ed. August Learning Solutions; 2025. Print ISBN: 978-1-941626-66-5 / eBook ISBN: 978-1-941626-65-8 as their textbook.
3. Attendees will be offering instruction of their course live online through a video conference software of their choice (this walkthrough does not go over how to produce or upload pre-recorded lectures).
4. Attendees must have a student handbook or course catalog prepared before the second meeting on February 12th, 2025.
5. Attendees must have a schedule form 276B form created for the instruction of their course before the second meeting on February 12th, 2025. Attendees can purchase a consultation package for The Secret Cocktail to prepare their schedule form 276B for an additional fee of $3,000.
